things I love: the sweetest little hair bows

There are a bunch of companies making hair accessories for little girls, but my personal preference is for petite, classic-looking bows. So far my favorites come from two mama-run small businesses, Wunderkin and Billy Bibs (both offer international shipping!):

I love the clean, tailored look of the bows from Billy Bibs. Since I ordered most of ours before the baby was even born, I went with the mini size on nylon headbands – they’re so stretchy and soft that we even used one coming home from the hospital. The colors are soft and seasonless, and many of the fabrics coordinate with their beautiful bibs.

The Wunderkin bows come in a wider range of styles and sizes, but ours are the schoolgirl and mini pinwheel. One is a watercolor bow is from a collaboration with Kelly Ventura and the others are solids from this summer’s collection. It’s taken me a couple of tries to get what I wanted since they’ve become so popular that some colors/collabs sell out almost instantly. They’re really lovely though – and guaranteed forever! – so it’s worth stalking the brand’s IG to be ready for the next releases.

And even though bows are probably more of an add-on for June & January, I really like this little clip that I used to push my last order into free shipping territory. It’s a sweet pop of color and isn’t heavy in the baby’s fine hair.

Do you like hair accessories on little girls? If so, where do your preferences fall – dainty or oversized? bows or flowers? headbands or clips?
